Between April 27 and 30, the Palma International Boat Show (PIBS) will take place in Mallorca. ELNA will be present with its own booth in the Superyacht Village. Our focus this year: Lightning Protection & Video Surveillance

We are pleased to exhibit at the Boat Show in Palma again this year. Palma is one of the largest and most important marinas in Europe and therefore the perfect place to kick off the show season.

The center of our presence will be the DDCE Lightning Protection System. We are the exclusive distributor of Dinnteco’s DDCE Lightning Protection products for the European marine market.

Conventional lightning protection quickly reaches its limits on yachts due to structural conditions. Lightning strikes on yachts can hardly be dissipated without damage to the mast and electronics. The solution is the patented DDCE Lightning Protection System from Dinnteco.

The so-called DDCE (Electromagnetic Charge Compensation Device), is a system for protection against atmospheric discharges and an electromagnetic protection device. It provides continuous equipotential bonding to protect the yacht from a direct lightning strike. Excess negative charges from the air layer are absorbed by the DDCE, compensated and discharged through the grounding. This process eliminates positively charged upward currents from the protected structure, thereby preventing the creation of a lightning channel or guide lightning.

To round off the topic of safety on board, this year we will also present cameras for video surveillance (CCTV) of yachts. Our partner IRIS Innovations from UK will support us on site. IRIS has been producing high quality and reliable cameras for the marine market for years. The product portfolio includes fixed anaolge and IP cameras, controllable and thermal imaging cameras.

At our booth you will be able to convince yourself of the quality of the brand new ATOM series.

Come and visit us! You will find us in the Superyacht Village in the Repair & Refit area. Booth number RR03
