Light calling Column System ELR-02

The light calling column system are designed for distribution of important alarms in special areas onboard ships (e.g. engine rooms and similar areas). The reliable alarm signalling with quick identification of the type of alarm presumes a high degree of visibility of optical alam devices and a suitable sound level of acoustical alarm devices. Depending on the size of the concerning area and the installed and the installed equipment (e.g. propulsion engines with high noise level), the light calling columns, provided with the required optical and acoustical alarm devices, which are specified fo a reliable operation in the concerning area.

General Alarm System EGA-01

The general alarm system is designed for the distribution of optical and acoustical alarm signalling of "General Alarm" and "Fire Alarm" signal (or e.g. "Abandon Ship" signal, german version) all over the ship area , including the hazadous areas, where specially designed Ex-alarm devices can be provided.

In special areas (e.g. engine rooms), the alarm distribution is carried out by means of the light calling column system, using the timed alarm

On passenger vessels, the concerning signal outputs from the general alarm system can be connected e.g. to the existing public adress (PA-system) to spread the alarms to the required ship areas.

The alarm signalling generated by the general alarm system and the design of alarm symbols for optical alarm devices are carried out according to the actual regulations of IMO (International Maritime Organization) and SOLAS and to the special requirements released by national safety authorities (e.g. See-Berufsgenossenschaft for ships under German flag).
